Christmas 2014

Christmas was a blast this year. The girls got lots of great stuff including stuffed animals, books, and a Batman 3 game for the PS3! Nicholas had a fun time as well opening gifts and playing with all the toys.

  

 

 

Nicholas Playing with Kitchen

Here is a movie of Nicholas playing with one of the two pretend kitchens that we have. This one lights up, talks, and plays music. Both of his sisters loved this thing, and it is always fun to see him play with it too.

Kara's Christmas Recital

Kara's school had a Christmas recital, and we all packed into the place to watch it. We were told not to run up close to take pictures, but most of the other parents did. I could barely see Kara as her head was just above the piano, and the pictures were not as good as I only had my iphone. It was very cute, but Kara did get upset for part of it as she does not enjoy the spotlight.

Nicholas Pushing a Zebra

Nicholas is walking all the time and is very good at it now. He sometimes likes to go for a walk while pushing the Zebra scooter backwards as you can see in the movie below.

Disney on Ice

Addison was unfortunately very sick the day we had tickets to Disney on Ice. So, she stayed at her grandparents with Nicholas while Kara, Kelly, and I went to the show. They had a princess theme for this one and had songs/performances from Aladdin, Tangled, Little Mermaid, and of course Frozen. All of the kids in the audience sang along with the Frozen songs and it was really a fun show. I was sad that Addison couldn't make it, but I know Kara had a good solo time with Kelly and me.

Star Wars Halloween!

The kids are all huge Star Wars fans, and they all went as characters from the movie and shows. Addison went as Ashoka Tano from the Clone Wars TV Series, Kara went as R2D2, and Nicholas was Yoda! Addison had her lightsaber and costume we ordered online, as did Nicholas. However, Kara had an R2D2 ski hat and a custom costume made out of posterboard by Kelly, and it looked awesome! We all went out to walk around the neighborhood, and we came across a guy dressed as a clone trooper. Addison immediately recognized the costume as that of Captain Rex, and she was the only person to know who the guy was dressed up as according to the kid's parents!

Light Saber

Addison is going to be Ahsoka Tano from the Star Wars Clone Wars animated series for Halloween, and we got her a lightsaber that is pretty cool. It lights up and makes all of the famous sounds as you move it around and hit stuff. Here are some movies to show you what I mean.

See-saw at the Park

They recently renovated the park near us, including a new see-saw that can seat four people. I took the girls there for some fun and of course we rode on it and took some movies!
