Addison has lost another tooth in the front! We were joking with her that she can fit a straw in her mouth in the new gap where her teeth used to be. She looks to have a new tooth coming in where the old one was, so she won't have the gap for too long.

We drained the pool!
In order to prep our pool for the summer this year, we had to drain it in order to get all of the debris out from the bottom of the deep end. We rented a submersible pump with a hose that extended out of the pool and down the driveway. All of the kiddos thought this was the coolest thing, especially Addison. They both went in it when we had it drained right before we had to fill it up again. It took about half a day to drain it and a full day to fill it again. Hopefully we will not have to do this again as it was a lot of work.

Nicholas's First Birthday
Nicholas was not feeling well for his first birthday bash. He had a double ear infection and was very tired for most of the day. He was still smiling some, but was not his usual happy self. His sisters enjoyed "helping" him open his presents while he took a nap, especially Kara. He received some much needed clothes and also some great toys that his sisters helped test out for him that day. It was great to see everyone, and hopefully Nicholas will be feeling better the next time he has a large audience.

Addison's Super Kids Day at School
Addison had this big outdoor event where they participated in activities like riding scooters, doing a hamster wheel race, and other team events at different stations around the schoolyard. She had a lot of fun at it even though they did not get to finish all of the events. She was a little upset about this as she wanted to do everything. The event was supposed to last 30 minutes longer than it did, and I suspect that all of the teachers just wanted to get out of there earlier and ended it sooner on purpose.

Kara Singing in the Car
Here is a quick movie of Kara singing in the car. She is trying to sing "No more classes, no more books. No more teachers dirty looks. Yahoo!". She heard this on a Bugs Bunny cartoon she had watched where he remembers back when he was younger and was getting out of school for the summer.

Easter
We did an Easter Egg Hunt out at the High School on the soccer fields. They also had some bounce houses, a small riding train, and a petting zoo cage with chickens, sheep, goats, and even a llama. Kara and I ran around on the track while Addison checked out the bounce houses. They both enjoyed the petting zoo cage, but only wanted to touch the animals from the outside of the cage. The egg hunt itself was the usual mad scramble, and the kids had a lot of fun gathering all the eggs and counting them afterwards. Back at the house we unwrapped some gifts, and Nicholas had fun with the wrapping paper.

Addison's 7th Birthday
We decided to get a bounce house for Addison's 7th birthday, and it was a huge hit. They arrived with it at 8:00 AM, and the girls wanted to hop in it right away despite the party not starting for several hours.
Kelly and I even hopped in the thing as you can see in the videos below. Uncle John also brought his new English Bulldog puppy named Romo, and he was an instant hit.
Nicholas had a lot of fun assisting with opening the gifts, and Kara really liked the Frozen dolls that Addison received. Addison was so happy with the Lego The Movie Video game that she cried when she opened it! My parents also got the kids a vanity which Kara absolutely adored.
