Bathtime

We gave Addison a bath yesterday and managed to get her clean despite all the squirming.

Fun in the Swing

We tried out the swing for the first time today, and I think Addison likes it a lot. She hates getting into the harness, but once she is in there she rocks to sleep almost instantly.

First Day Home

We checked out of the hospital today and finally got to take our new family member home. The room and nurses were all great in the hospital, but we were ready to get back.

This is Addison in her outfit she went home in. She has a new fondness for the pacifiers we started giving her.
This is Addison all tucked in her car seat for the ride to the house. She actually slept the whole way home and didn't fuss at all.

Kelly 's mom came over since I had to go to a meeting for work later in the afternoon. This is what I found upon my return!Everyone was cozy and relaxing while watching some TV in a real bed. Addison is getting used to her new surroundings and the animals are not sure what to think of the new screams they are hearing.

This is a picture of one of the new stylish outfits Addison has. Ducks are all the rage in Paris this year I hear.

More Addison Pictures

Below are some more pictures of our new baby Addison and some of the many family that came to visit.

Addison's Big Day

Here are a few quick photos from the past two days. Our new baby's name is Addison Lynn Ceritelli. She is 6 pounds 4.8 ounces and 18.5 inches long. She was born on March 23rd at 2:16 PM.

The first picture of her wrapped up is when she was about 5 minutes old.

This is my outfit to go into the delivery room.
This is after her first bath. This was one of her feedings today. She likes to move her hands around.

Delivery News!

Our little girl has been sitting comfortably for the past several months (since 20 weeks) with her head above my belly button, which means she is breech. She hasn't flipped once! Therefore, we were given the option of having a scheduled c-section, trying a version, or just progress through labor and see if by that time she has flipped on her own, if not then we would do an emergency c-section.

After watching TLC and Discovery shows in which people had emergency surgeries where tools or sponges were left behind, we decided not to go that route. With a version I would have to be admitted to the hospital and the doctor would try to externally flip the baby. However, this doesn't always work. I read that there is a 50% success rate in the baby flipping and staying head down until delivery - the other 50% the baby doesn't flip at all or does flip head down just to flip right back up (and headed to an emergency c-section). Versions are very painful with some risk involved. Can you figure out which option we choose?!!

We have a scheduled c-section for Tuesday, April 3rd at 9 am at Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton (http://www.trinitymedicalcenter.com/CWS/MapsAndDirections.aspx). Click on the link for map/directions to the hospital if you plan on visiting us. The easiest way to get to L&D is to go in the Emergency Room entrance and ask how to get to L&D. You have to go through some doors and take the elevator up to the second floor. This is the easiest way, since L&D is right above the Emergency Room. I know I give horrible directions. Just ask someone in the ER.

Anyhow! Hopefully she will wait until that date to make her appearance. As far as her name, everyone will have to wait until she makes her appearance. I can guarantee you that her name is definitely NOT Anna Nicole.

Nursery

Here are a few pictures of the nursery. These were taken a few weeks ago. It pretty much still looks the same.
The bedding set is called Sugar Plum by Calaco which comes from Babies R Us. I LOVE this set. It is purple, which is my favorite color. It's not too baby girlie - just perfect. And it goes well with the room color that we painted at least a year before we were pregnant. Mike was excited that he didn't have to repaint!!
This picture shows inside the crib.
Another shot of the crib and rug.
This picture is the corner of the room. The crib is on the left and the dresser is on the right. The glider is pulled out from that spot a little bit more now. I love the spot where the glider is. There is so much room for her to play on the floor. The curtain rod is really cool. We got it from Target. It is silver with pink spheres at the end.
This last picture is the dresser. The top can be used as a changing table. Don't worry we now have a changing pad.

Dallas Shower

We had a Dallas shower on Saturday, March 3rd with family and friends. This was another successful shower in which we received gifts ranging from clothes, towels, bibs to high chair, car seat, travel system and bouncer. Shannon, friend and host, had an interesting game set up for us to play. The Diaper Game!! She bought 10 different baby foods and put one type of food in a diaper. Then the diaper was passed around and you had to smell the diaper and guess what flavor the food was. Just the sight of these diapers was disgusting enough. After everyone got over the initial shock of what the food looked like in the diaper (your typical dirty poop filled diaper) we all had a good time. I was horrible at this game. I had green beans and carrots down at least twice and I even saw the food beforehand. I couldn't remember the names of any of the food. Goes to show, never trust a pregnant woman’s memory. A friend won when she had 8 correct answers! Everyone was amazed, but when they discovered she has a 3 1/2 year old and a 6 month old they all proclaimed "No Fair!!" (or something along those lines) Hehe! Good times!! Here are a few pictures. Hopefully there isn't an enormous amount of space between each picture.

The baby shower cake. After the shower the cats discovered the toy lamb on the kitchen counter and were playing with it. I kept hiding it (well, not so well) and they kept finding the toy. I eventually had to hide it in a really good spot, and they haven't discovered it since. Woot! The cats bully the dog so we are waiting for the day our daughter gets older and chases the cats around the house. It will be nice to see the table turned on them. We had a friend come over with their toddler a while back and she ran around the house with her arms open yelling "Kitties!!!" The cats were terrified. It was great!!! We love our cats, but enjoy seeing them getting bullied.

This is another homemade diaper cake created by mom. She did a great job as well. She hid little gifts inside the cake. One night we decided to take down the diaper cake so we could discover the goodies inside. There were sooo many diapers. I think we are good on diapers for awhile!! :)

I think my mom and Mary both could have another job creating these diaper cakes. Heck, I think its neat and I am waiting for one of our friends to become pregnant to see if I can create this. Come on...someone get pregnant. I can't promise that my diaper cake creation will be standing up straight. I hope that is okay.

In this picture we are playing the diaper game. Look at all those serious faces.

Houston Baby Shower

We had a baby shower in Houston on Saturday, February 17th. It was a nice small group of women most of which were friends of the family that I have gotten to know over the past few years. A great group of women! We received a bunch of goodies ranging from baby clothes, bibs, bathtub, bedding to a pack 'n play and swing. Needless to say, it was a very successful shower. Thankfully, it all went in our car just fine with room leftover to see out of the back window!! Here are a few pictures from the Houston shower.

This is the cake which has the same decoration as the baby shower invitation. Very nifty!

This diaper cake was homemade by Mary Krebs (Aggie buddies wife and co-host). If was her first one to make and I think she did a pretty good job. I think she has found a new job - creating diaper cakes. I can only imagine all the time and frustration that was put in to creating this. Hopefully it didn't fall over too many times!

This is the swing we received. Mike put it together once we got home. The mobile spins and it plays all sorts of music. Hopefully, the baby will find it soothing.

This is the pack 'n play. This works as another crib and changing table that can be moved throughout the house (it is on two wheels) and can be packed up to take on outings, hence PACK 'n play. I can already hear Mike getting frustrated trying to figure out how to "pack" this up. hehe!!
