Addison Update

My little baby is 3 months old!!!! One more month and we can begin giving her rice cereal at night to help her sleep better/longer. Woot!

Mike decided to try out the baby carrier last night. Addison really didn't know what to make out of it. She would whimper with this confused look. Needless to say, this didn't last very long.

Addison Updates. She is starting to sit up a lot better now. She still can't sit up on her own. She needs back support. She can hold her head up really well, it no longer flops around. If she is propped up on your legs, she can and will pull herself up to a sitting position.

She has been teething, but no signs of any teeth yet. I read an article that said they can be teething for weeks before an actual tooth cuts the gums. I think we are starting to get a little closer to that though. Her bottom gums are very bumpy, so maybe a tooth is pushing through. She hasn't enjoyed teething at all. She cries a lot and chews on her fist every second she gets.

She is sleeping a lot better these days. Recently, she has been waking up once a night around 3am. Hopefully this is a permanent sleep pattern because I actually get more sleep now!

Around 10 weeks, Addison has learned to smile in response to your voice or face. Recently, she has begun to laugh as well. She is also beginning to "talk".

This is a picture of her yawning. I just think she looks so cute when she yawns real big, like in here.
She just had a bath in this picture and she just looked so cute I couldn't pass up a picture moment.

The McCrosky's

This past weekend Scott and Carrie came to Kingwood. Carrie is about 8 months pregnant with their first baby together. They are expecting a girl.

This was their first time to see Addison. I don't think anyone was more happy too see Addison than Diane, Scott's mom. :)

Visit from the Smith's

Two weekends ago, the Smith family came through Kingwood for the weekend and made a quick visit. They have two daughters, Camille, who will be 4 in September, and Lily, who is 7 months old.

Master (the dog) loves to lick kids faces! In this picture he is outside. He would knock Camille over if he was in the house. Apparently, Master has already licked Addison's face.

BBQ

A few weekends ago, Addison experienced her first Soechting BBQ. She was fussy the whole time, however, it was not because of the BBQ. Addison didn't sleep the night before the BBQ (I guess she was anxious), therefore, she was crabby the whole time. However, she slept that whole night without waking up, and that's the only time she has done that. Other than that, the BBQ went well. It was nice to see friends and their kids.

This is Elie, daughter to Eli and Brittany Merz. She is 10 months old and is beginning to walk.

Swimming

A few weeks back we took Addison swimming for the first time. At first, she didn't care for it; she cried/whined. Eventually she calmed down; however, she didn't like being held away from our bodies. She had to be held right at our chest. The funny part is, she started to fall asleep. We assume it was due to the very warm water.

The second time we went she didn't cry/whine as much so we think she is getting use to it. We stayed at the pool little bit longer this time. We went at noon so the sun was bouncing of the water and she kept her eyes closed a majority of the time, but she wasn't asleep.

I took her to the pool by myself one day last week. This time the water was a lot cooler than the previous times, and she didn't care for it one bit. I had to slowly ease her into the water. We didn't stay too long as she passed out on my shoulder.

Two Month Stats

Addison had her two month Baby Well Being check up last Wednesday. She didn't enjoy it too much. She received four immunization shots and one oral immunization. She screamed and her face turned RED!! The nurse said she would be more fussy, tired. and less hungry after the shots. My first thought was "sweet..more tired!" then "dang it, how much more fussy can she get?" Boy, did that question get answered in the next several hours following the shots. She did sleep much longer, which was nice. She got a tad fussy, but nothing that baby Tylenol couldn't help make her feel better. And she did eat less at nights. We all made it through our first round of shots just fine.
New Measurements:
10 pounds 8 ounces
22.5 inches long
This picture was taken this morning. She enjoys her little bouncer seat.
Addison and I do our daily sitting exercises, which involves her lying on my raised legs and pulling her forward (into a sitting position) by holding on to my fingers. She is beginning to pull herself up on her own. I was trying to take a picture of her sitting up (on my lap), but it didn't work out to well. I thought it was a cute picture.

Sleeping Beauty

Here are pictures of our sleeping beauty.
She is starting to sleep much better these days. She sleeps in 4 hour stretches!! Finally!! Now that she has pretty good head/neck control we let her sleep on her tummy, which is why she sleeps in longer stretches. She doesn't like sleeping on her back.

Stuart Glenn's Wedding

Over Memorial Weekend we attended a wedding for one of Michael's Aggie Band friends, whom I had never met.

Yes, I am too lazy to rotate the picture around, so just rotate your head to see it. :) This is the Bride and Groom right before their departure. In case you can't figure it out, those are bubbles in the air.

Here is Mary cuttin' it up with Julia Gray (Justin Gray's wife)!! I just love the facial expression.

OMG! They do exist!! This is David Tolar (in the military uniform) and I believe he is talking to Bryan Parker.

Here is Justin and Julia Gray.

This was a fun evening. I finally got to meet the military Aggie buddies!!

Preparing the House

The past several weekends we have traveled up to Dallas to fix up the house to get it ready to sell. After the long exhausting weekends the house is finally ready and will be put on the market toward the end of this week. Here are a few pictures of our new and improved house.

The birds nest isn't really an improvement to help sell the house. We cannot knock down the nest due to the little babies inside. Not sure how much longer they will stay in there. I would like to knock this thing down; it kinda looks tacky.
