Addison's Dance Performance

Addison has been taking dance classes offered at her day care every week on Wednesdays. She loved wearing her ballet leotard to class that day and learning the different styles of dance. Her school had a small performance they put on to show off what they had learned all year. Addison did a great job performing and then all the kids were able to goof off on the bounce house and other activities they had on site. There are also some movies of the dance numbers and bounce house fun below the pictures!

Addison Gets Glasses

After a regular doctor's visit, Addison was sent to an optometrist to have her eyes checked. Her eyes are a little weak for her age, so she was fitted for some glasses to correct the issue. Luckily, they had some cool princess glasses that she loved. She wasn't a big fan of the eye dilation drops she had to take for the test, but she did like how they made her eyes look crazy! 

Swim Lessons!

In preparation for this summer, we enrolled Addison in swim lessons at the local YMCA. They taught her the basics of how to dog paddle, hold onto the side of the pool to shuffle, and the basics of freestyle swimming. They used a slightly different type of floatie that goes on their backs to allow them a greater amount of movement with their arms in the water. Addison did a great job even though she wasn't big on anything where she would get her face wet or go under water. There are also some great movies of the lessons below the pictures.

Easter Sunday Back Home

After coming home from Jellystone Park, my parent's came over and we had a little Easter Egg Hunt of our own in the back yard. Kelly used some of the extra plastic eggs we had and hid them in all sorts of weird spots. There is also a great movie of the egg hunt below the photos.

Easter Weekend at Jellystone Park

We took a camping trip to Jellystone Park for Easter Weekend. We stayed in a cabin, and the campgrounds had all sorts of activities from a huge waterpark to arts & crafts. The waterpark was the biggest hit, despite the fact that the water was a bit cold at times. They had a huge Easter egg hunt on the last day we were there. Unfortunately, people rushed over the perimeter fence and started 15 minutes early. By the time we go there, most of the eggs were gone. Kelly and I were both very disappointed, but we did have some kind folks give Addison and Kara some eggs while we were out there.

Movies:

Below are movies of a new song and dance that the girls starting doing. You say the person's name, followed by the song. For example, "Addison,  Addison, jump up and down. Act like a clown. Turn it around. Addison, Addison, jump up and down, and sit back down." The girls did this with everyone, including the Superman toy we had!
