Here is a picture of my Dad and Addison both reading at breakfast. Addison likes her book, but she also likes to grab the newspaper and wreak havoc on it if given the chance.

Thanksgiving in Dallas
We went up to Dallas this Thanksgiving to visit Kelly's side of the family. We ate lunch at Kelly's grandparents on her father's side. Her Aunt Terri and Uncle Richard were also there with all three of their dogs. Along with the dog Kelly's grandparent's have, we had a whopping four dogs running around. After lunch we all watched the Cowboys beat the Jets. Some of us even took a nap during the game.
Above is Terry and Richard's dog Maverick, who spent most of the day outside chasing squirrels.
This is everyone relaxing watching the football game.
This is Kelly's Uncle Richard with their lapdog Cowboy.
This is another dog named Brue that belongs to Terry and Richard. He was also outside on the squirrel hunt.
This is Kelly's Grandfather napping with his dog Missy.
This lava lamp was on the fireplace for decoration. I thought it was a nice touch.

New Dolly
Addison's Great Aunt Nita(my father's sister) got Addison a padded dolly that says "Love Bug" on it's shirt. She instantly fell in love with the doll and will smile when she sees it and plays with it. Addison's Great Aunt will be moving in her new house right down the street from my parent's when her house in Connecticut sells.

Halloween Sleeper and Aggie Outfit
Here is Addison in her Halloween Sleeper complete with built in booties for her feet. I used to love these outfits as a kid.
We also dressed up Addison in her new Aggie outfit to support the team when they played Oklahoma at the beginning of this month. Apparently, our support was not enough for us to win.
Above are two of my Dad with our future Aggie daughter.

Sippy -cup Success
We have had some recent success with Addison and her Sippy-cup. She wasn't really sure what to make of it at first, and I'm sure she is confused why the liquid in there wasn't more like her bottle. She has been a regular on solid foods now(well, pureed solids), so this is just one more step toward leaving the bottle behind. She does hold her bottle, or in this case Sippy-cup, on occasion, however, she also has a tendency to fling it on the floor.
Sleeping Habits and "The Hand"
We have figured out that our daughter has the sleeping characteristics of both her mom and her dad. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. She can sleep through almost anything, tends to sleep sprawled out with her mouth wide open, makes noises when she sleeps, and jolts awake after sleeping(she gets these from me). She has also inherited her mothers tendency to roll over and squirm throughout the night. We have found her bunched up in the corner of the crib, on her back, on her stomach, sprawled out like a starfish, and even sleeping with her knees tucked under her stomach. The latest trend is best illustrated with the picture below:
Dallas Visit(in early October)
We went to Dallas the first weekend of October to attend Kelly's Great Uncle Zack's funeral. I only got to meet him a few times, but he was always really fun and easy going. We were able to meet a bunch of Kelly's cousins that she had not seen in many years. Her Great Uncle had been a semi truck driver at one time, and so we had a big blue semi lead the procession of cars to his burial site. Kelly told me that Zack always liked driving the big trucks and the open road. Addison is not fond of meeting new people, so she was a little fussy when everyone came over to greet her. She also didn't like it when Kelly's cousin Ronny honked the horn on the semi at the end of the funeral.
We stayed with Kelly's dad and step mom during the weekend of the funeral. We were going to stay at our house, but we had some showings during the weekend. We were able to stop by and grab a few things from the garage in addition to cleaning it a bit though. Addison also had a chance to warm up to Kelly's dad during this trip.

Camera is back!
Now that our camera is back from it's vacation in College Station, I can resume my updates that are even further behind. Kelly's dad and step mom came down to visit us at the end of September(yes I am that far behind). Addison was able to show off her recent solid food eating skills and ability to zoom around in her exersaucer.
Above are some pictures of our photo fest during a feeding.
Above are a few of Addison and Stella having a good time.

Update
Well..we haven't had much time to update the blog lately. Life is busy with a baby! Whenever baby sleeps, mommy sleeps. Mike was updating the blog at the beginning of October; until I left the camera in College Station. Oops! :) I went to a scrapbook party and well..forgot to grab the camera on my way out. Hopefully we will get the camera back sometime next weekend and continue with updating everyone on Addison. Speaking of which...
Addison can rollover from her tummy to her back and from her back to her tummy!! Yeah!!! She is crawling some (if you want to call it that). She gets her legs underneath her chest is scoots around that way. She hasn't fully grasped the lifting your head part..so her head drags. She LOVES to walk and stand up. Of course she needs assistance to do either one. She walks around in her toy (see shutterfly account for the toy) and she loves being pulled up to a stand. Her hair is starting to grow and turning a very light shade of brown..almost blond. At her 6 month check up a month ago she weighed almost 16 pounds. I am sure we are close to 17 by now. She is getting to be a heavy baby. She talks and laughs all the time. When I say laugh, I mean laugh laugh. Not just little chuckles, she laughs. It's so cute. What else....hmm....I can't think of much else that she is doing these days. I am sure once I have the camera and see the pictures I will have more to write about.
By popular demand (*cough*Mrs. Soechting*cough*), I have uploaded our wedding pictures on our Shutterfly account. ALL of our wedding pictures are there, even the ones I don't like. Enjoy. Just click on the tab to the right that says "More Addison Pictures Here" and you should see them. As I am typing this message they are in the process of uploading now. So if you come on here in the next hour and they aren't there it's because I am working on it.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Oh we didn't do anything for Halloween. We will next year though. Addison can't eat candy people. But we do have a Halloween picture..but that is next time. Adios.

Visitors
Fresno State Game from last month
Remember when I said we were a bit behind in our posts? Anyway, we went to visit College Station for the Aggie Game vs Fresno State. We stayed with Kelly's friend Shannon(see picture below) that weekend. Addison didn't actually make it into the stands since it was really hot and we weren't sure how she would react to a stadium full of screaming fans. We'll wait until she is a bit older to brave the blistering sun and deafening roar of Kyle field.
Been A While...
I know it has been a while since we posted. Let me start with a few pictures of what Addison has been up to.
She loves her exersaucer and plays in it daily for short to extended periods of time. She actually slaps the keys on the keyboard to make noises now instead of just leaning on the keys with her elbow.
Addison has also been eating like a champ. She currently eats rice cereal, green beans, and of course her bottle. She is also fond of chewing on her high chair straps and the arch with toys hanging from it that fastens to her tray with suction cups. On rare occasion, she will even hold up her own bottle as seen in the last two pictures. I say rare, because she is usually flailing her arms and turning her head to look around. I'm told we are going to start her on green peas here soon, so lets hope she likes them better than I do.
She can also stay sitting up on her own without any assistance. However, she does tend to fall over if anything gets her attention and she moves toward it. Addison has "discovered" her feet and ears as well. She will grab her feet and even put them in her mouth on occasion. She will also tug on her ears a bit when she is playing around. At first we thought this may be a sign of an ear infection, but everything is fine.
